How I Got Started

I started turning wood quite a number of years ago and only in the last 15 years or so decided this is what I want to do when I retire.  Well, I just retired in early 2021 and I'm wood turning full time now! I enjoy turning small pieces now, but have been known to dabble with new techniques and materials.  My pens have been sold around the world to many satisfied and repeat customers. Most of my business is through custom requests and I always make extra and sell them on my Go Daddy website and Etsy.  I do not list everything I have on Etsy, so please feel free to look through my complete collection here.  With over 100 different types of acrylics, 100 different species of wood and about 2 dozen types of Tru-Stone, as well as antler, alligator jaw and shark vertebrae, I can make anything you like.

If you see a style and a finish you like, just send me a note and I'll promptly send you a quote and shipping time.  If you would like a hand turned item with your favorite wood, acrylic, antler, etc., I can accommodate your request (This happens more than you would think).  I come out with new items all the time - recently my Shark Vertebrae pens have started selling and I am going to introduce pepper mills, salt grinders, coffee grinders and even more in the near future.

I list quite a number of products I produce and also list gift and presentation boxes, ink and replacement pen/pencil refills.  If you would like a box for your turned item (included with pens over $35), drop me a note and I can send you a revised shipping charge including the pen box.  Generally, unless otherwise noted in the listing, slim pens are shipped in a plastic pen pouch in a bubble envelope to save you on shipping costs.  Gift sets are packed in boxes and securely shipped.  Shipping from the USA is weight and dimension based, so I have limited flexibility in those charges.  If actual shipping charges are less than stated, a refund will be issued promptly for the excess shipping.
