Handcrafted Caribbean Rosewood (Chechen) Petite Slim Letter Opener in a Bright Gold Finish

My handcrafted Slim style Petite Letter Opener uses a beautifully marked piece of Caribbean Rosewood (Chechen) hardwood as the handle . The Letter Opener is trimmed in a fine, bright Gold finish.  This desk  accessory is part of my slim line of accessories.  The Letter Opener complements my matching pen and accessory line. You can custom order a matching pen & pencil set as well in the same finish.  

The letter opener blade is approximately 3 1/2 inches long with an overall length of approximately 6 1/4 inches. 

Chechen, or Caribbean Rosewood, is a beautiful golden brown colored rosewood found in the Caribbean (Jamaica, Belize, Southern Mexico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Guatemala).  Very nice grain is present in the golden brown colored hardwood.  This letter opener will only darken with age with a slight reddish tinge with age and use and take on that old, traditional style.  There is a good amount of beautiful grain pattern that work well with the turned style I chose and looks great with the bright gold finish.  Included is a nice gift box.

All my handcrafted items are hand turned by me on my lathe and undergo a minimum 18 step finishing and polishing process to bring out the fantastic colors embedded throughout the hardwood.
