My handcrafted El Grande wooden Fountain Pen in exotic South African Camel Thorn is trimmed in a durable premium Black Titanium finish. This pen is very highly detailed and looks spectacular in this traditional pen style. The pen is from my El Grande pen line, and is one of the largest pens I make. The roller ball writes extremely smooth and the pen is a pleasure to write with and has a great hand feel and balance designed into it.
My pens are great for personal use or as an exquisite gift for that special someone, birthday, wedding, anniversary, client, guest, holiday, etc. A presentation box is included.
Also known as Giraffe Thorn, the wood is named from the seeds and pods that Camels and Giraffes eat the long thorny seeds and pods. Camel Thorn is an exotic wood related to Acacia, is native to Southern Africa. It is a very hard, dense, and heavy wood, with a fine texture. The wood is dark reddish brown with thin black grain, as evidenced in this beautiful pen. This wood will darken and become even more desired over time.
All my pens are turned by me on my lathe and undergo an 18 step finishing and polishing process to bring out the fantastic colors embedded within the wood and highlight the grain.

This handmade pen is a higher end roller ball pen trimmed in durable, premium Black Titanium plated finish and uses a Schmidt style of roller ball refill. Refills are readily available at stationery stores everywhere (or through my website). This is a highly polished and exquisite pen and requires little maintenance to retain its luster.
