Handcrafted Wooden Pen - Teal Dyed Spalted Tamarind Hart Double Twist Pen in a Bright Gold Finish

My handcrafted Hart double twist wooden pen in a beautiful and very well marked piece of Teal dyed Spalted Tamarind is trimmed in a fine and bright Gold finish.  The pen is part of my slim line of fine writing instruments.  This pen has an excellent double twist mechanism which operates very smoothly.  This ball point writes extremely well with excellent balance and hand feel designed into it and is a pleasure to write with. 

My pens are great for personal use or as an exquisite gift for that special someone, birthday, wedding, anniversary, client, guest, etc. These are one of a kind pens made from premium hardwoods I select.

Tamarind is native to tropical Africa and widely planted throughout tropical regions worldwide. The wood is a pale yellow (sapwood) up through a deep reddish brown.  Spalting (the process of decay) and other discolorations are very common in the sapwood, and the majority of the Tamarind available in North America is spalted sapwood. I find it adds a bit of uniqueness and color to the pendant. I've had the wood stabilized and dyed a beautiful Teal color. The coloration brings out the dramatic markings in the wood and lighter ares where the dye was not taken up. Truly a one of a kind pen, you will love how this writes and feels in your hand.

All my pens are hand turned by me on my lathe and undergo a minimum 18 step finishing and polishing process to bring out the fantastic colors embedded throughout this beautiful wood.

I do not use inferior woods, acrylic formulations or pen mechanisms in any of my pens or pencils or other turnings!

This wooden pen is handmade as a ball point trimmed in a bright Gold finish and uses a Parker style of ballpoint refill.  Refills are readily available at stationery stores everywhere.  This is a highly polished and exquisite pen and requires little maintenance to retain its high gloss and beauty.
